I know someone who games all the time. Sometimes he won't go outside for days on end. He doesn't think he has a problem but he does because he neglects his children and his personal hygiene.
I was wondering if any studies have been done to show if anything weird has happened to their brain because of the gaming.
Have any studies been done on the mentality of those who are addicted to gaming?

Reply:It is a matter of obsession. "Obsessive compulsive disorder" just like excessive shopping. It drives the person to do things receptively until they loose control of the situation. Try helping out, if doesn't work, try getting him/her professional help.
