What gaming system do you think won the console war?

The wii, ps3 or xbox 360.





I personally think the xbox 360 won the console war, but i just wanted to see what other people think.

What gaming system do you think won the console war?
The war's still going on, PS3 is still gathering steam, and Metal Gear Solid 4 hasn't even come out yet.
Reply:The console war officially started Nov. 2006 when the PS3 and Wii came out. It hasn't even been a year yet so there will be no winner for probably 5 years down the road.





I think that the Playstation 3 will easily win the war once the price comes down a little more. The PS1 and PS2 both sold over 100 million units each, so clearly there are more Playstation fans out there than Xbox fans. And the PS3 has better exclusives coming.





The Xbox is only enjoying it's 15 minutes of fame with the release of Halo 3 and other first person shooters.





Second of all, the PS3's full potential has yet to be seen, the Xbox 360's full potential has already been seen. There's only so much that developers can do with a standard DVD and limited technology.

Now, I have played a Wii and see nothing great about it, but it certainly is the most popular it seems... More 360s have been sold than PS3s or Wiis...but the Wii is only like...1 million or so behind...and since the 360 had a headstart, that is pretty dang impressive.


Since the 360 had the head start, the console war is really only between Sony and Nintendo...in which, by the numbers, Nintendo is winning.... BUT, as far as PROFIT...since the PS3 is/was double the price of a Wii...even though Sony hasn't sold as many systems...they are probably winning the 'profit war.'
Reply:Well PS3 and Xbox 360 are pretty close but ever since the online crash on Halo 3, PS3 has been winning the war because Sony had a trick up their sleeves, by lowering the price by almost 200$ !!!!! Also, Gears of War may be coming out for PS3!! Also, Xbox Elite has came out and has some really cool features such as : more gigabytes, a cool black finish, and cost less then a PS3 ( may vary in some stores)!!! Honestly, they are in a tie for now.
