What are good acessories to purchase for Wii gaming systems?

My kids are receiving one for Christmas and I want to make sure that I have the right ammt and right type of controllers and all the other stuff that goes with. What do you recommend? They are girls ages 8 %26amp;11. Any game recommendations?? Thank you!

What are good acessories to purchase for Wii gaming systems?
The system comes with Wii Sports (a collection of 5 sports games), 1 wii remote, and 1 nunchuck. The remote and nunchuck connect to make 1 complete controller. You'd want at least one more of each. You can purchase Wii Play which is 9 games and a remote ($50 compared to $40 for the remote by itself) and an extra nunchuck for $20. Other than that, you might want to consider some of the controller recharging stations. The remote is wireless and runs on two AA batteries so anything rechargeable is a good idea for the long run. There's a charger for 2 remotes that runs in the $30-$35 range and a single remote charger for $20. There aren't really too many other "must have" accessories for the system.

As far as games, Rayman Raving Rabbids, Elebits, Super Paper Mario, and Mario Party 8 are some games out right now that I'd suggest. Coming out in mid-November is Super Mario Galaxy and Super Smash Bros. Brawl is releasing the first week of December.
Reply:Me turning 13 in two months, I would say that the 11 year old might enjoy Mario games, or Twilight Princess.
Reply:I got a Wii for my birthday. It comes with 1 Wii-mote and a nunchuck. It also come with one game : Wii Sports. You probably will need another Wii-mote/nunchuck set, so you should get them. Wii-mote and nunchuck covers are also nice to have, they keep your controllers clean.

I usually play games like Medal of Honor, and i dont think 8-11 year old girls like that..maybe get mario games

You might also want to buy the Wii-Play set. It comes with games similar to Wii-Sports and a bonus Wii-mote!

And if they had a Gamecube before, DO NOT throw their controllers, games, and memory cards away because you can play Gamecube on the Wii. Their are special slots for controllers and memory cards and the disc just goes right in where the Wii discs do.
Reply:playstation 2 0r 3
Reply:A sledgehammer?

When they get bored with the thing in about a month, you'll want it.
