How do I pick a video card for Intel High End computers for gaming and general use?

Lets say I were to buy a Intel Core 2 Duo from off a retailers shelf..how can I find a video card that is compatible for this? Is there alot of modifications I will need to get it running into a decent gaming and general use computer? Will I need to get it all in a larger case to accomodate extra fans or whatever?

Reply:Any Video card is compatible. However it depends on the CPU if you run into a bottleneck or not. For example you can buy a top-of-the-line NVIDIA 8800 GTX card. For that card of card you need at least a Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 to not run into a bottleneck. So if you are an avid computer gamer, buy a E6400 or higher. Meaning buy 2.13 Ghz dual-core or higher. If not.....1.86 ghz dual-core is enough for you.

I'm more a fan of AMD because of the price.....but if i had the money I would buy a Core 2 Duo.
