What computer should I buy for the best gaming experience?
You should probably build one yourself. If you understand the basics of what a computer is made of, you can save a LOT of money. You can also choose the operating system, so there is no issue with having vista preinstalled. I built a good gaming machine (Core 2 Quad, 8800GTS, 2GB RAM) for only about $1000. I got all the parts from Tigerdirect.com if you think you'd like to take a look.

You would need: a processor, memory, a motherboard, a video card, a power supply, fans, a hard drive, a cd drive, a case, a monitor, and a keyboard and mouse for a basic system. As long as they are all compatible and you can plug things together proficiently, it should work.
Reply:Find a Vista gaming rig with Crysis on it. In the "Games" menu left-click on "DX9" and play the game to see how you'll see it playing it with XP and DX9. Then finish the game go back into the "Games" Window and left-click "DX10" and play it in DX10 to see how it looks with Vista. I build sell and repair computers and specialize in high-end $2500 plus gaming towers. I haven't sold an XP gaming rig in over 6 months!! XP and DX9 are yesterday's news in high-end gaming. Get an Intel Q6600 quad, an ATI 3870X2 video card, 520 or 550watt Corsair PSU, 4GBs of XMS ram and 64bit Vista if you want a gaming experience.
Reply:Newegg.com for the win!!!
