Is there a way to hook my gaming console to my laptops monitor?

My laptop moniter is actually HD and looks way better than my standard definition TV. Is there a way to play my 360 on it? Is there something I can buy to do this?

if u want to just get a new monitor for it then there is a westinghouse monitor on newegg that has hd av inputs. its a very decent price for its size and abilities. my friend has one and he says its great. when i get the money ill be buying one myself.

link for the monitor is in the source.
Reply:Only if your laptop has a video input.

Very very few do.

The only other option is to get a video capture card/USB device for the laptop. But it will probably only capture low res, and the delay between the capture and it being displayed on the screen is goingto make most games unplayable.
Reply:You will probably need an adapter or the right cable that fits both ends.
Reply:yes. best buy sell an adapter(s) that converts HDMI and or RCA jacks into...forgot the terminology but converts into monitor plug.
Reply:Might be, but I wouldn't advise by it, as your laptop would really heat up, which wouldn't be a good thing. You'd be better or to spend the money and just buy a tv, they're going down in price.

Reply:no because laptops only have video out, not video in like the desktop monitors..

I tried so much to get it to work and couldnt find a solution..

By the way, all monitors (even the huge CRT) are Hi-Def quality when playing console games
Reply:If your laptop has a VGA input then, yes you can connect your 360 to it.but other than that there are no other ways.
Reply:I don't think so.. seeing as you don't have a cable connecting the laptop screen to the graphics card outside of the computer and able to un-plug

it might be possible with something USB based. but i'm not completely sure.
Reply:it would be unnecessarily hard and expensive on your laptop, but you could buy a computer monitor and get tome converters/wires and try it on that.
