Can I use a laptop to run as a gaming PC?

I want to purchase a fast new laptop and mount an external flatscreen on the wall, run an external kybd and use it as a gaming PC. I will also need the laptop to be wireless and portable when I'm not gaming. Can this be done? Any suggestions?

Can I use a laptop to run as a gaming PC?
Yes even tho it isn't really designed for gaming. Proper gaming requires large high-powered graphics cards and processors.
Reply:i would recommend u dell's xps m173. It has oodles of power

and a lot of features too. It supports hdcp and hdtv for highdefenition viewing. The only disadvantage is that this is bulky. But ths is an unbeatable notebook and has enough dough to compete with high end desktops. It has bluray drive, overclocking capablities, ,etc.
Reply:y not, there are many gaming PC offered by many companies out there, notable ones include Asus, Dell, Alienware...

however, take note that most gaming laptops comes at 15.4" or 17", some re even 19"... this means that mobility is at the last of their priority
Reply:Sure. Try a MacBook Pro. Blazing fast, portable, and will run Mac OS X, Linux, and Windows.
Reply:Yes of course it can be done, but gaming from a laptop is really lame.
Reply:yes, as long as your ram, video memory %26amp; storage space is high enough to run your games. may i suggest alienware %26amp; the 20.1" HP that has great gaming capabilities? i'm sure you won't get disappointed.
Reply:Yes, most notebooks have all the ports you need to use LCD panels as well as external keyboards and such.
