How much would it cost to build a pretty good gaming PC?

The questions says it all. I was thinking about building my own PC from scratch, one that can handle the top-end and future games and would like an estimate.

Thanks

How much would it cost to build a pretty good gaming PC?
To Build A very good computer the requirements are

1.Intel Xeon Quad Core processor with 2.00ghz speed

2.4gb of RAM DDR2

3.GEForce 7600

4.win vista ultimate

5.DVD writer

It is better to buy a CRT moniter than an LCD moniter as

LCD moniter some times doesnt work properly with high

graphic games

All this will cost you around100,000Rs or to say 2000$ approximately
Reply:I guess it depends on which components you want to be good. You could spend 800 on a case alone if you insist on water-cooling and neat little LEDs. PCs will always out-do gaming systems I think, until the inevitable merge of the two. Already 360s and PS3s are basically like Alienware computers without an operating system. But anyways, if you want to play like Unreal Tournament 3 or whatever its called then you're gonna need probably to drop at least a grand into it. Try to find things online, much cheaper than your local computer store. Either newegg.com or geek.com or something similar.
Reply:Could be anywhere from $300 to $5000. A good one could be built for about $700.
Reply:$700-1000. Shop online.
