Whats the difference between SLI and Crossfire gaming PC's?

I looking to buy a new PC for online gaming and have seen two different types SLI and Crossfire, what is the difference between the two?

Whats the difference between SLI and Crossfire gaming PC's?
Your question is a bit like asking the difference between Intel and AMD processors. Nvidia and ATI are just the 2 main manufacturers of graphics cards - periodically one is slightly better than the other, but not so you would really notice the difference. Both do 90%+ the same thing using slightly different technology. Both will run all games.

Your best bet is decide how much you want to spend and look up graphics cards reviews in that price range to see which is the best value for money at this time.

As an additional note, SLI and Crossfire both relate to the manufacturers ability to use 2 graphics cards linked together to improve performance. This can get expensive with individual cards costing £300-500 ea, so take a while to consider how much performance you really need. AND you need a motherboard that will support 2 graphics cards.
Reply:SLI is for Nvidia video cards and crossfire is for ATI cards.
