Take a look at the specs. on some of those machines, they specialize in custom gaming machines.
Reply:hi mate

£100 isnt alot of money to spend on both a gaming motherboard and processor however i will do my best

a good inexpensive but powerful gaming processor is the AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4200+ 2.20GHz (AM2)http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Component... is a very good processor with some excellent specs including a 1000mhz fsb and a 1MB L2 Cache, for the price this is a great gaming cpu and will handle any games you throw at it,it also has the added advantage of being dual core

a compatible motherboard for this cpu is the Jetway M2A692-GDG-PB AMD 690G - Socket AM2(http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Component... is a very good inexpensive motherboard 100% compatible with the athlon processor

it has a pci-express x16 slot and a onboard graphics solution based around the ATi Radeon X1250 Onboard Graphics, the sound sub system is supplied by a Azalia HD 8-Channel Audio CODEC,and other interesting specifications include Dual Channel DDR2 800 Memory DIMMs Supported,Support 4 Serial ATA Devices with RAID 0. 1 . 10 . ,CPU Vcore 7-Shift / BIOS BACK %26amp; DeBug Port .

both the cpu and motherboard come to around £70 so if you dont want to use the onboard radeon x1250 graphics(which are not too bad(pixel and shader model 2.0 and direct x 9.0c) you can allways invest in a Jetway GeForce 7300 GT 256MB DDR2 PCI-E for £25.95 exc. VAT from http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Component... a Core: 500MHz, Memory: 667Mhz, DDR2, 128Bit Memory Interface this equates to a handy little graphics card and is far better than any onboard set up

all the three components come to just over £100 and will bring your p.c into the 21st century, and fully gaming compatible

finally games like microsoft flight simulator will run great on this set up and the geforce card will allow you to add more effects in-game including antianilising and antistropic filtering

any problems let me know

good luck mate !
Reply:Motherboard go for GigaByte (or any intel chipset motherboard)

as for cpu Pentium 4 cpu's are good just make sure it has a full cache ( lets say P4 3.0 GH 2MB cache)

as for gaming i recommend also having a GeForce 512 MB graphics (VGA) card also make sure your RAM is not less than 512 MB
Reply:i was looking for one today try this one

my choice

http://www.motherboards.org/reviews/moth...

the charts of whats good at what

http://www.motherboards.org/ranking/moth...

this chart gives you a bit more data though on which one to pick and whats got what

P.S dont listen to any of the dribble the others say.. to get a descent motherboard you need atleast a hundred pound or more
Reply:Get a gigabyte board and an Intel Core 2 Duo, that will do the trick!
Reply:100 pounds.. you might as well get nothing!

you wont be able to get a decent motherboard and CPU with that money!

For new computers i recommend http://www.alienware.co.uk
